About us

Who are we? We are undergraduate students from the University of Liverpool studying Mechatronics and Robotics Systems. We decided our Second Year Project to be about a "Smart Car".  Introduction Autonomous driving is an advanced technology that allows a vehicle to navigate and operate without human intervention. This technology is based on the combination of multiple sensors that allow the vehicle to perceive and analyze its surroundings in real time. To explore and understand autonomous driving technology, we tried to build a simplified smart car by using the Arduino system. The final aim of this project is to build a Bluetooth-controlled car that can be autonomous in obstacle avoidance.  We aim to: Create an intelligent car platform. Integrate an automatic obstacle avoidance feature Utilize Bluetooth connection control functions. Minimize costs as much as possible. Increase the potential for future expansion.
