Week 1
Progress
It's the first week of the project! To start with, we gathered the components required for this project and assembled the first design of the car. The design and basic structures of the care are according to the online resources.
- We use cardboard as the chassis of the car
- The components are attached to the chassis by using a glue gun
- Connected the Arduino board to the L293D motor driver
- Holes are created in the chassis to connect the motor to the circuit board
- Soldered the transmission wires as shown in Figure 1.

Challenges
Building the platform of the car was a bit more challenging than we expected. It took some trial and error to figure out the best way to attach the motors to the chassis and connect them to the drive board. We also had to be careful not to damage any of the delicate components, as some of them were quite expensive.
Soldering the
transmission wires was another task that required some careful attention. We
had to be sure to get the connections right and avoid any shorts or other
issues that could cause problems later on.
Next week's goal
- Check if the transmission lines are connected correctly
- Write the basic control code for moving forward, backward, left, and right.
